Let’s go International break is over
Our suffering is now over(well the boredom kind i’m sure the premier league will still make us suffer this weekend), with the Premier league back on Saturday we can now go back to our painful Saturday afternoons watching our bench score, while watching our starters drop stinkers.

Gameweek 3:
Time for my long awaited game week 3 review;

gw3 result
To be honest for having no Haaland I can be quite happy with my performance this weekend, despite my Rogers for Pedro swap costing me a good 6 points for no reason. All in all 80 points really isn’t bad at all
Team of The week

gw3 Totw
Well, Well, Well we have some usual faces in this team of the week already(Salah and Haaland who over 49% of top 100k owners have). But along side that we’ve some players I expect to be seeing a lot more of in this section every week this season the likes of Mbeumo, Sinisterra and Eze but also the likes of Davis who had an insane amount of assists last season in The Championship and I would back him to keep performing.
The Fixtures

gw4 Fixtures
Game week four looks like it will be an exciting one with some very good looking fixtures for points(outside the North London Derby).
The Plan:
Well we’ve an absolutely insane amount of players wildcarding this week trying to get both Salah and Haaland in their squads if they don’t have them both already and to be honest I would recommend that BUT I will not be pushed into wildcarding this early, Yes both these players will pick up insane point pulls again this weekend, but I still feel there is still enough time to hold back and see how things go up to the next international break before wildcarding.
I will 100% be hating myself on the weekend for committing to this when Haaland inevitably scores a third hat-trick in a row against Brentford but I think for value if you don’t have him it is still a little too early to jump onto him as his next three fixtures are all against teams he doesn’t have a perfect record again (in Haaland terms remember). With one in three against both Brentford and Newcastle and then two in four against Arsenal(I know shockingly bad record). But I do think or me its best to hold off on him till about Game week seven when City play Fulham and then going in for the triple captain when he plays Southampton in Game week 9.
My plan till I wildcard is to be aggressive and not saving transfers this week will be most probably Mitoma that I bring in with the idea of insuring as many points as possible the next few game weeks and making sure any players with good games gets in the team.
The Battle for budget Midfielder:
So its Friday night you are picking your final squad for the weekend and you need a budget midfielder in order to of Course get both Haaland and Salah into your squad, well who are you picking?
Rogers:
The man who now feels like some sort of Fantasy Football super hero Morgan Rogers has been massively rated by every FPL YouTuber these past few weeks, and even myself. At £5.1 million he is a solid option who does look like he will take Aston Villas penalties this season. I do rate him highly and he is predicted to get around 5 points every week over the next five game weeks. However for now I wouldn’t transfer him into your team if you don’t have him as he still hasn’t produced any good points game weeks yet. He has underperformed his expected points by 4 but with only 0.3XG and 0.35XG in his opening three games there’s nothing to suggest that he will pull in any big points pulls anytime soon. So for now if you have him keep him but if you don’t I personally wouldn’t bring him in.

Morgan Rogers
Smith-Rowe
Our second option is Fulham's new boy who is very exciting. Coming in at £5.6 million he has had a pretty good return of 15 points from three games so far this season and with some decent fixtures coming out over the next few weekends with West Ham, Newcastle and Forest coming up.
He again is every FPL punters cheap midfielder choice. I do think he is a pretty solid choice for his value. However again would he be my preferred choice. He has slightly over performed by about 3 points compared to how his performances would expect. Again he is a good option if you already have him but if you don’t have him I wouldn’t go changing your team to get him in(unless your team is well off).

Smith-Rowe
Adama
Okay so I know he doesn’t have the best output in the world But this guy is a beast. He will actually be a very good choice for £5 Million. He may not be predicted the most in the world, with him expected to actually get the least amount of points over the next few weeks on this list, BUT if you have any other midfielder at exactly £5 Million in your squad id get him in with 12 expected points this season and 17 actual points gained this year the signs are great.

Adama vs Smith-Rowe heat map
Compared to Smith-Rowe as well I believe Adama to be a much better choice with higher expected assists and more shots so far than his team mate.
With stats showing he has had a better start to the season than Smith-Rowe and he has been getting into much better positions higher up the pitch and closer to goal.

Adama Traore
Brighton v Brighton
Minteh:
Our cheaper Brighton option this week coming in at £5.5 Million we believe Minteh to be a fantastic option for the next few weekends with Games against Ipswich and Forest coming up over the next two game weeks probably being the best two game weeks for any team to have that is coming up, and then Chelsea the week after which is another winnable game. So far this season Minteh has produced 10 points a slight under performance by 1 point so far.

Mitoma and Minteh
Mitoma
Our £6.6 million option from Brighton certainly a much more expensive option compared to the rest of my list but he is still in that budget range midfielder. So far this season the Japanese international has picked up 16 points from three games hitting all his expected categories exactly( so no worries of wasted potential points)

Mitoma vs Minteh
Compared to Minteh I think both stack up very well with each other and to be honest if I was wildcarding this week I would make sure I was getting both players into my squad with Mitoma offering a better chance of scoring a goal, while Minteh offers that more direct option with him more likely to create big chances for his team mates and pick up a few assists.

Mitoma and Minteh heat map
Semenyo
Our final cheap midfielder option(£5.6 Million). Semenyo has had a very highly talked about start to the season picking up an incredible 19 points in his first three games. With an again outrageous 17 shots in these games. His start to the season has been brilliant with two goals and an assist to reward himself with.
Semenyo is a brilliant choice to bring in, however I wouldn’t recommend rushing to bring him in with a very hard run of fixtures coming up for Bournemouth with Chelsea and Liverpool coming up before game week 8 to 10 brings Arsenal, Aston Villa and Man City. However I would expect Semenyo to somewhat keep his form up and personally would take the risk to bring him in as Game week 6 and 7 bring Southampton and then Leicester for Bournemouth, two very good fixtures and Chelsea at home is not a bad fixture itself this weekend. I would definitely try get him in now especially for those game week 6 and 7 fixtures before replacing him after that. But if you are not wild carding I would go for the two Brighton options ahead of him for the next two weeks.
Captain Picks
Time for what I believe to be the most simple decision of the week, Captain choices
Haaland

Haaland
Well… This choice is so easy it even seems silly to be saying. But Haaland is the best captain option this weekend if you have him. With an excellent fixture at home to Brentford coming up. He is predicted to get 8.7 points this weekend and to be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if another Hat trick is incoming
Salah

Salah
Our second captain pick this weekend is obviously Salah and since I don’t have Haaland he is my captain choice. Forest at home 8.3 predicted points not much else to say to that
Eze

Eze
My third and final captain pick this weekend is Eze an out there one but with Saka playing Spurs away this weekend Eze just feels like a good choice for vice-captain. With Leicester at home I expected Eze to be involved in at least a goal if not more.
My Team.

gw4 team
Well this is how I will be shaping up for game week 4. The Brighton players are slowly making their way into my squad and outside Arsenal playing Spurs away this weekend I am very very confident that the rest of this team will have very good points scoring weekends. I am expected to get 72 points this weekend so fingers crossed. Hopefully we can push to 80 though.
Thank you for reading,
Have a good weekend. Look forward to hearing how everyones done on Monday
