Player comparison:

  • Amad Diallo vs Semenyo

With Man united having a new manager it was only a matter of time before we were really looking at someone as a good option from the squad, and now it is Amad Diallo that might be the great option for FPL. With him picking up 6, 8 , 11 points although these came in games against Leicester, Ipswich and Everton, while he only picked up 1 away to Arsenal. Which may be more of what to expect with Forest, Man city and Liverpool all coming up in this next month.

Amad vs Semenyo

Semenyo is another player I have picked out as an mbuemo replacement. He has much better fixtures coming up with Ipsiwch and west ham being the next two before a trip to play against Diallo just before Christmas. He also has done significantly better than Diallo in almost every stat this season so there is that.

Despite all this the idea of Diallo excites me miuch more than Semenyo, he blanked near every week i had him earlier in the season which puts me off getting him again. But once again those fixtures are much more difficult over the next month which does make semenyo more appealing and certainly more likely to pick up more points

Buys of the week:

  1. João Pedro (Brighton): Affordable, creative, on penalties, and with excellent upcoming fixtures (Leicester, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Brentford). High potential for returns.

  2. Isak (Newcastle): Strong recent performances and good fixtures. Ideal as a replacement forward.

  3. Jackson (Chelsea): Likely to get more consistent minutes post-rest, but fixtures are tougher than Pedro and Isak.

  4. Evanilson (Bournmouth): Decent budget option; overshadowed by better forward options like Pedro and Isak but worth considering if funds are tight.

  5. Salah, Palmer, Saka: The essential premium trio. Reliable set-piece takers and point scorers

  • Amad Diallo (Man United): Likely integral under new management; affordable but temper expectations.

  • Semenyo (Bournemouth): Affordable with promising fixtures. Decent replacement for Mbeumo.

  • Jurriën Timber (Arsenal): Strong defensive performances and good value for his price.

  • Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool): Returning to form with assists; worth the investment.

  • Van Dijk (Liverpool): Solid but less attacking than Trent

Don’t buys:

  • Mbeumo: Poor stats and fixtures; not worth holding anymore.

  • Garnacho: Rotation risk under new management; inconsistent minutes.

  • Smith Rowe/McNeil: Sell if you lack strong bench options.

  • Wood, Solanke, Jiménez: Poor fixtures and form make them expendable.

Captain picks:

Once again captain wise it feels like there is only really three options to even consider.

Salah, Palmer and Saka.

Salah

All have somewhat difficult away fixtures, i would back Salah against Everton this season, and then Saka as second choice who plays Fulham away.

My team:

Once again I wish you all good luck, as we come up to the half way point of the season. Have a good weekend
